I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.
My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?
It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.
And mostly, I can.
I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂
But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!
And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??
DUH!
And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:

I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.

Hi Nagi, what a great idea! I know you have done chicken pot pie but was hoping for a chicken deep dish pie, with pastry from scratch and the pie itself about 5cm or more high. I saw a recipe once that looked awesome but could never find it again. This kind of pie usually has less liquid I think, to help it stay formed??
BTW I have tried a few of your recipes (pinned many more for later!) and they work 100% of the time for me, and always taste great. I love how you experiment with different alternatives to find the right one, saves many a kitchen disaster for me😄 thank you for sharing your wisdom and expertise!
This is such a fantastic idea Nagi! I was thinking the other day that I wish you did reader recipe requests – I was trying to find a recipe on your blog for panna cotta but couldn’t find it so I made your brownies and peanut butter cookies instead. My wish list is:
– Chimichangas
– Authentic green curry
– Salt and pepper calamari
– Panna cotta
– Tiramisu
– Gingerbread

When we go out I love the sizzling Mongolian beef or any yummy broth type soup. I agree bananas are blah!!!

I was so excited about your offer ……… and then I read about the bananas ( to be honest I’m not sure there are actually bananas in this recipe. We had it from a roadside stall at Erawan falls in Thailand).
Then I remembered my all time favourite, that is hard to find, and I think goes by many names (I couldn’t find it amongst your recipes). I know it as Char Hor Fun – egg noodles in egg gravy – yummy. Do you know it. The simple version would do me fine – Ive made enquiries at Asian grocers and I constantly get “oooohhh your making that!!! very hard to make!” Whats your take????
By the way, if you are curious about the Thai dish – it was served to us in a coconut, in a coconut milk (?) And I think it was like pancake pieces (or roti???) in the sauce. All I could understand was that it was very easy to make with egg, sugar and milk???? So its a dessert – we had it warm – any ideas?????

I would love a tried-and-true baked salmon tarator, a selection of dishes that use poached chicken (like you have for pork carnitas) and more pressure cooker dishes.
An easy hai nan chicken would be amazing!!! My favourite comfort food 🙂
I concur I would love a quick and easy Hainanese chicken rice recipe.
Your poached chicken breast with ginger shallot sauce and chilli sauce is good, I add some sliced ginger, garlic and Chinese cooking wine to the poaching liquid and stir some of the reserved poaching liquid through rice before serving.
